Elton Sailing Club aims to promote Sailing, Angling and other similar recreational activities, to foster good fellowship and to protect the tranquility and surroundings of Elton Reservoir for the benefit of future generations.

Just bring a change of sports clothes. Juniors can have 2 weeks complimentary membership following their first taster and adults can purchase a no commitment 1 month trial membership for £21. Following these periods, to continue, membership must be purchased.
We sail on Wednesday afternoon and evening, Thursday evening isLadies Who Launch (ladies only sailing), Saturday afternoons for recreational sailing and training and on Sunday we hold three races, starting at 12.30pm. Refer to Sailing and Training Programme for more details.
The club boats are :-
2 X Laser Bahirs – suitable for 2, 3 or possibly 4 sailors
4 X Hartley 12s – suitable for 1 or 2 sailors
1 X RS Vision – suitable for 2 sailors
2 X RS Fevas – suitable for small adults or juniors
6 X Toppers – suitable for a small adult or older junior
4 X Optimists – suitable for a young junior

No, the club has a fleet of club training boat which can use by new members for one season to practice their skills.
Depends on the weather! Ideally something you don’t mind getting wet. Some sport clothing and a wind proof top will suffice to start. Don’t forget a change of footwear.
Yes, we have recently completely refurbed our changing facilities. Hot showers are available for use after you have been on the water?
Absolutely! The club is 100% family friendly. In fact, we even have a seperate junior training sessions that run on Saturday.
The club uses a system call WebCollect to administer our membership.
It allows members to make payments via Direct Debit, bank transfer, PayPal, debit/credit cards, cheque or cash. We have a range of different membership models which are listed on our WebCollect page. Free of charge training to RYA Adult Level 1 or Youth Scheme Level 2 during first year. (Would cost £130 – £150 at a commercial centre)
Free use of the club’s boats for a period of first years membership i.e. until 1st April 2019, subject to availability (formal courses take priority), assessment of wind conditions and experience. Club boats available to hire after this period at a reasonable cost.
Free use of clubhouse facilities on sailing days and for functions.
