The Wednesday Evening Pursuit series reached its exciting conclusion on the 2nd May. A big thank you goes to our series sponsor – Tim Craig Loss Assessors. The series was won by Adam Savage and was well attended particularly by our juniors who are growing in confidence.

On Saturday and Sunday 14th and 15th April we held the Club Championships. Two days of great sailing was had by a big fleet in gusty conditions.

It was good to see Dave Woodhead who has been sailing at Elton for some 60 years on the winners rostrum and lots of new Juniors on the water and in the prizes. .

The Sunday Spring Series sponsored by Marston’s Brewery is well underway with upwards of some 25 boats out on the water most Sundays.

Saturdays are devoted to training and taster sessions. On Saturday 28th April we held our RYA Onboard day for youngsters from local Junior schools who had a try at sailing. Some 14 youngster took to the water for the first time and a good day was had by all.

This is followed on Saturday 12th May, starting at 10.00am with the RYA PTBO day. This is an Open day for all ages who fancy a try at sailing. Just come down on the day with a change of clothes. We will do the rest.

The Wednesday evening Handicap series sponsored by Moore and Moore Windows starts on Wednesday 16th May 2018. Race start time is 19.30.

Junior training for beginners then starts on Saturday 19th May. Please contact Dave Read or Mike Seger to sign up

Shark Attack the local sailing equipment specialist is also kindly  sponsoring the club and stock is available to view and buy in the clubhouse on most Saturdays.

As always the Galley and bar are open and all are assured of a warm Elton welcome.
