Filling Pot Holes in Lane – Your help needed – Sat. 20th October.

Dear Member,

We are organising a day of work to repair the potholes in our Lane on Saturday 20th October, starting at 10:00 Hours.

This is our lane so All members are asked to get down to the club for a couple of hours this coming Saturday to help fill in the rather large potholes we are all now experiencing.

Younger members are particularly encouraged to come down and give the old-timers a break and help to keep the lane passable. This is an interim measure until our nice new shiny tarmac arrives.

Refreshments will be provided so please try to find a couple of hours to come down and help.
Thanks in anticipation of a great turnout.

Boat Shed Clear out

Dear Member,
Winter boat storage will soon be upon us so it would be timely to start sorting out some of the junk and mess that seems to accumulate in the boatshed during the season.
Of particular concern are the numbers of abandoned masts and booms which bear no identification whatsoever and which seem to have been resident for some time.
A condition of most insurance policies is that such parts are clearly identified with boat number/name etc and doing this would also be a big help in managing the sheds. Therefore, could owners please ensure that their equipment is clearly marked before winter storage takes place in November.
Equipment which remains unidentified after this time may have to be disposed of or moved to the back of the boatshed so as to free up space for others.
Thanks for your cooperation.
