Social distancing must continue inside and out.
These restrictions will remain until at least the 21st June 2021.
Low Water – Alternative sailing Venues.
Because of the current situation with the water at Elton, the Council, have for those members who wish to, put in place arrangements with Delph SC for Elton’s members to sail on their water forthwith. Boats can be taken up to Delph and berthed there for the duration of our low water. Elton will pay fully for this arrangement.
Bolton SC have also offered similar arrangements on their water.
Currently we are awaiting an update from C &RT on the works at Elton. As soon as we have it members will be informed. If any member wishes to take advantage of these offers, please contact Dave Smith by phone (Mob 07545 116458) or Email on email@example.com
Legacy bequest from Peter Mack.
Peter Mack a club member from the 80s and 90s has sadly, recently passed away and in his will he bequeathed a sum of money to the club.
This is a significant sum and Council will be contacting all members in the next few weeks for input and ideas as to what best to do with this money for the future good of our sailing club.
Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP)
A few members have asked about doing SUP on our waters and towards this end we are gauging interest in this activity. We have been given the contact for a SUP instructor who is willing to help. Saturday afternoons would be a good time to try this out. If anyone is interested, please contact Dave Smith by Email on: firstname.lastname@example.org, or speak with any member of Council. We are looking to organise a try it out session in late May early June
